IKEA PAX assembly in Berlin starts at €89 for a single 50×236 cm frame with hinged doors. A two-frame combination costs from €134, and a corner combination with sliding doors from €234.

Every price is fixed before the appointment and includes travel and parking. There is no hourly rate. Use the online calculator to get the exact figure for your configuration.

A single frame with hinged doors takes about 1–1.5 hours. Two frames take 2–2.5 hours, two frames with a sliding-door set 2.5–3 hours, and a corner combination 3.5–4.5 hours.

Add-ons extend this: wall fixing roughly 20–30 minutes per frame pair, and levelling on an uneven Altbau floor 15–30 minutes. We confirm an estimated duration with every fixed-price quote so you can plan your day.

Clear the wall where the wardrobe will stand and leave about 1.5 metres of working space in front of it. Keep the IKEA cartons in or near the room and unopened — we sort the parts ourselves.

If your building has a resident-only parking zone, a narrow staircase or Hinterhaus access, tell us in advance so we can plan the route. Someone should be reachable at the start and end for a short walkthrough. That is all we need from you.

Yes — Berlin Altbau flats are most of our work, across more than 500 completed assemblies. Uneven floors, walls out of plumb, 3-metre-plus ceilings and old lime plaster are the normal case here, not the exception.

We tap-test every wall before drilling and carry anchors for solid brick, hollow lime plaster, clay, hollow brick and later stud walls. The wardrobe is set plumb and levelled on its plinth, and the fixed price does not change because the building is old.

Yes. We set the wardrobe plumb rather than parallel to a leaning wall, so the front you look at every day is true. The wedge-shaped gap left behind the cabinet is closed with a fitted cover strip.

For larger differences we cut a mitred filler panel instead. A straight, level front is what you see and use daily, so that is what we prioritise — the result is flush doors and even joints, not a wardrobe that visibly leans with the wall.

We measure the floor across the planned width before building and level the base with the adjustable feet, adding shims where needed. Levelling adds roughly 15–30 minutes and is inside the fixed price.

Altbau floorboards often dip toward the middle of the room. A square base matters for more than looks: PAX hinged doors are designed to self-close, and they only do that reliably when the frame is truly level. We set this during assembly and check it before we leave.

We tap-test the wall before drilling and choose the anchor from what is actually behind the plaster — solid brick, hollow lime plaster, clay, hollow brick or a later stud wall. The check takes five minutes.

Depending on the build-up we use cavity fixings, longer chemical (resin) anchors, or fix into the load-bearing layer behind. That five-minute check is what decides whether a wall-fixed wardrobe is still safe in ten years, so we never skip it for a single standard plug.

Berlin Altbau ceilings of 3.2–4.0 m leave 80–160 cm of air above a 236 cm PAX. You have three options: leave the gap open, add PAX extension units, or fit a full-height surround.

An open gap is calm but collects dust. Extension units (Überbau) close the gap toward the ceiling and add seasonal storage. A full-height surround (Passepartout) makes the wardrobe read as built-in. We can advise which fits your room and budget, and the calculator covers extension units in the fixed price.

Yes, and the wardrobe does not need to have been built by us. We adjust hinged doors on all three axes; for sliding doors we level the tracks, set the anti-jump catches and adjust the bottom rollers.

Door alignment and sliding-door calibration are among our most-requested jobs — most of them on wardrobes someone else assembled. Send a photo via WhatsApp and we will quote a fixed price for the fix.

Wall mounting is an optional add-on at €19 per frame pair. We recommend it for every 236 cm wardrobe — at that height, anchoring to the wall is a safety requirement rather than a preference.

Yes. Sliding-door sets are priced at €55 per set inside your fixed price, and calibration is included — we level the tracks so the doors run silently and stay parallel.

Sliding-door fitting is one of our specialities, and it is also the most common thing we are called out to correct on someone else's build. The calculator prices sliding doors directly, so you see the figure before booking.

If we find parts missing during the appointment, we complete everything else and come back to finish once you have them — at no additional charge.

If you spot missing parts before the appointment, order the replacements from the supplier and let us know; we can usually move the date rather than start a job we cannot finish.

Not for the whole appointment. Someone needs to be there at the start to let us in and at the end for the handover — around five minutes at each end. In between you are free to get on with your day.

We arrange our own parking and the cost sits inside the fixed price: €0 extra, whether your street is a resident-only zone or your flat is on the edge of the city.

Tell us in advance if your street is a resident-only zone or if access is through a rear courtyard, so we can plan the route and arrive on time.

There is no deposit and nothing to pay upfront. You pay the full fixed price on-site once the work is finished and you are satisfied — in cash or by bank transfer. All prices include 19% VAT.

You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. Cancellations inside 24 hours may be subject to a fee.
