Why per piece and not by the hour?

An hourly rate rewards slow work and is hard to estimate for 40 desks in advance. A price per piece makes the total known before the visit and lets you compare quotes. The time risk stays with the assembler.

What determines the price besides brand and model?

Mainly quantity and access. Many identical pieces on one site reduce the effort per piece, which is what the volume discount reflects. Floor, lift, rear-courtyard access and whether the furniture has been delivered determine the effort around the job. That is why Montage und Fix Berlin asks about them in the quote form.

How long does assembling 20 workstations take?

As a planning figure, two people complete 20 workstations with a desk and a pedestal in about one day. This is a planning figure, not a measurement. For larger sites Montage und Fix Berlin plans with up to three people.

What must be settled before the visit?

The furniture has been delivered and stays in its boxes unopened, so that fittings are not mixed up. A contact person is reachable on site. Access, lift dimensions and a loading zone are clarified, and for truck deliveries possibly a no-parking zone. The building management knows when drilling will happen: under Berlin law, drilling and hammering are not permitted from 10 pm to 6 am or on Sundays and public holidays. Saturday counts as a working day. For commercial premises the lease and house rules may set further times.

What can be added, and what is not included?

Montage und Fix Berlin offers packaging removal to business customers only. It must be requested additionally and is quoted separately; the quote form has a checkbox for it. Not included are transport and moving, electrical installation, IT and network cabling, and bespoke pieces, which need a quote of their own.

How does an order work?

You send the item list, site and preferred dates. You receive a written quote per piece, net. Assembly takes place in the agreed window, solo or as a team. The invoice is paid by bank transfer with a 14-day payment term.

Who is liable if something is damaged?

Montage und Fix Berlin does not carry business liability insurance. Please check before ordering whether your own building, contents or liability insurance covers the work. Montage und Fix Berlin's liability is governed by its terms (§ 8) and by law.

What should you compare in quotes?

Is the price shown per piece or as a lump sum? Net or gross? Is travel included? Does the price apply to the stated brand and model? Is liability stated in writing? What is the payment term? A quote that answers these six questions can be compared cleanly with another.
