KALLAX is more than a student shelf: room divider, sideboard, vinyl wall or floating unit. We assemble every size, fit door, drawer and castor inserts, and mount KALLAX securely on the wall – horizontally too.
What matters with KALLAX
The KALLAX trap is wall mounting: the shelf has no designed hanging points, and the back panels carry nothing. Floating installation works with brackets through the frame – anchored in fixings rated for shelf plus contents (a full 4×4 with vinyl weighs over 150 kg – that does not belong on a wall; we secure it standing, against tipping). As a room divider, KALLAX must be secured against sideways rocking at the floor or ceiling. And during assembly itself: set the centre dividers wrong first, and the whole grid is skewed.
