Sliding doors are the supreme discipline of wardrobe assembly: tracks must sit perfectly level, doors must run exactly plumb. We install PAX sliding doors (AULI, HASVIK, FÄRVIK and more) and also recalibrate existing doors that bind or scrape.
What matters with sliding doors
A sliding door forgives nothing: if the top track sits one millimetre off, the door runs downhill, jumps its guide or scrapes the frame. On Berlin Altbau plank floors the wardrobe itself is rarely level – so we level the carcass via the plinths first, then the track, then the doors via the roller eccentrics. The soft-close dampers (on newer PAX systems) are tuned last, to the door's actual speed. That order is the difference between a door that runs quietly for ten years and one that binds after three weeks.
